Analysis of Characteristics of Hydrological and Meteorological Drought Evolution in Southwest China

Based on the data of 82 meteorological stations and six representative hydrological in four provinces Southwest China (Guizhou, Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing), this paper uses standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI) runoff (SRI) to analyze spatial temporal evolution characteristics drought study area from 1968 2018. Combined with monsoon historical data, correlation applicability different indices were verified. The results show that: (1) SPEI-12 shows a downward trend 2018, linear rate ?0.074/10a, SPEI-3 has seasons, maximum being ?0.106/10a autumn;(2) change SRI-12 SRI-24 value directly reflected decrease SRI value, indicating that events are increasing recent times, especially 21st century (3). Severe occurred south China, as indicated by increase frequency area. main reason for variations distribution is combined effect evapotranspiration. (4) between disaster areas stronger than areas.
